Gu-gu ga-ga

A tall creature looks at me and says-

“I’m your papa!Say papa! say papa!”

And all I can understandably say is-

“Gu-gu ga-ga!”.

Another beautiful creature takes me to her bosom

Tears well up and she gushes “I love u, my dear”,

And I think “That’d be awesome,

If only you would release me from the force so sheer.”

Fallen from up above,

From the land of butterflies and doves;

Little did I know,

That this new journey would be anything but slow!

Ah, a few years of silly toys,

A few more of worldly joys,

Hormones would pump in,

And I’d be in for an emotional spin.

Oh joy!I’d have a wifey,

Every little situation would be dicey;

Oh wait!I could also turn out to be gay-

And the society would happily keep me at bay.

Little replicas of me would emerge-

The paranoia and emotions would merge,

Compounding the complications,

Ah! God and his machinations!

Give me a break, I scream in despair,

Without having me completely ensnared,

Deep within the pits of my innerself,

Where qualms and fears permanently dwell.

“Gu-gu ga-ga”, I scream and scram,

Unwilling to learn ,and enter the sham,

Unwilling to relive what I just foresaw-

The future simply waits for me, evincing a ‘duh!
