From the chaiwala who's already diluting the tea to great extents to the corporate giants who've begun to dismantle and dilute the man-power in their respective organisations.
It's hit everyone..and it's hit 'em hard.
As an engineer I cant help but wonder if it's going to devour on our career as well..
Just a few days ago I underwent pre-placement training along with scores of others to ensure that we wouldn't be left behind in the rat race for 'THE" job that would set-off in 6 months time. For few the entire affair seemed outlandish while for a majority of them it seemed to be a bare necessity. For me it was as if I've been put to steer the tiller of a barge and made incharge to sail it through a hurricane. It seems to me all I've been able to accomplish is just head it straight into the face of the hurricane without being able to manoeuver it,sailing against the tide, rather than with it,not because I was ignorant but simply because I did not know how to!!
The entire affair seems very war-like to me.The corporate sector waits ambushing with prodigius patience to hire the right candidate.Hundreds of them hope to be that 'right candidate'.Considering the recession, its common knowledge that only the best would be chosenEveryone's getting their swords sharpened, saving the best of the tunics for the D-day.
All I'm doing is simply keeping my sanity in the midst of this hurricane.I've a long way to go before I reach the shore and face the corporate giant. While on this journey,my gamut has been increasing far and wide.It has somehow given me a new perspective to the entire scenario. The recession's devoured the livelihood of millions.Warriors are trying to best it by their wile or their smiles. No one knows where and when we shall see the shore.Everyone's destined;but to what is camouflaged by nature.
So while I'm finally halfway into the treacherous mouth of this hurricane ,I know I do not need the answers now.I absolutely do not! There is nothing much that I can do other simply enjoy the madness of this hurricane....
